Bucharest, May 5, 2022 – Chromosome Dynamics, a Romanian entrepreneurial research and high-tech company in agriculture, announces the completion of construction of its own fertilizer and biostimulant production facility in Filiași, Dolj County. The investment amounts to over EUR 100,000, and production will begin this summer.
“With the start of our in-house production of liquid fertilizers, biostimulants, and germination stimulators, Chromosome Dynamics is entering a market segment with significant growth potential in the coming years. We are addressing both large-scale crop farmers (wheat, barley, corn, sunflower) as well as vegetable growers and orchard owners, or gardening enthusiasts. Our goal is that by the end of 2023, this new business line will generate total revenues of approximately EUR 3 million. The products will be sold both through the Agrobazar platform and via our own sales agents or partners. In addition, to optimize production capacity, we have already signed white-label supply contracts with other relevant players nationwide,” said Mugurel Ionel, founder of Chromosome Dynamics.
The company estimates that the first deliveries from the new plant will begin in the fall of 2022, to meet demand for the late-year and early-year agricultural campaigns. In total, more than 30 types of fertilizers and biostimulants will be produced at the Filiași facility.
“We have managed to install high-performance equipment and create efficient workflows for every stage of production. Since Chromosome Dynamics targets a rapidly growing market, our products are packaged both in large containers (10 L or 20 L) and in small containers (100 ml or 250 ml) to meet demand in the hobby segment. Monthly production capacity can increase to as much as 50,000 liters, but for now we aim for total volumes to reach 350,000 liters by the end of 2023. We have built a dynamic team of seven colleagues who will deliver the highest level of quality and will work
continuously to further improve the quality of the products in our portfolio,” said Mihaela Ionel, Logistics Director of Chromosome Dynamics’ plant in Filiași, Dolj County.
